This week brought us growth at the top in 3 different chains: Polygon, Ethereum and Gnosis – xDai. Polygon grew its weekly seasons by 13% during that period, thanks to a jump above 260 million seasons on July 29, followed by a steady daily performance of around 250 million seasons for the rest of the week. This helped Polygon retake first place from Harmony.
Ethereum ranked 3rd this week thanks to a 27% increase in relays compared to the previous period. Ethereum spent over 160 million daily relays all week, with a jump to almost 260 million relays in the last day. Ethereum also saw its share of total Pocket Network Relays increase, going from a 16% share to 18% this week.
Meanwhile, Gnosis – xDai also saw an 18% increase in seasons this week, which helped the chain hold fourth place. After a steady climb to 146 million relays on August 1, the chain took a slump for the remaining two days. Still, the 18% increase in total seasons was enough to boost Gnosis – xDai’s share of total pocket seasons from 11% to 13% this week.
Osmosis had a great week, increasing their streaks by 175% compared to the previous period. The chain was steadily approaching 500,000 daily relays this week after spending most of last week below 200,000. This relay growth, combined with a relatively small number of nodes serving the chain, has allowed Osmosis to climb all the way to #3 in terms of average daily POKT earnings per node, claiming a place between Polygon. Harmony and Ethereum.
Boba also continued his strong run of recent times, increasing weekly relays by another 131% during that period. This chain is now averaging around 500,000 relays per day and has been on the go lately.
